When I met with Jennalyn and Scott she would joke how there may be dead fish around at their wedding and that it was no 5 star hotel. Their wedding was held in the small town Baudette on the Canadian border. This is where Jennalyn grow up and where her parents still live. I can see why they choose to have their wedding up there; it was so peaceful and the busyness of the Twin Cities seemed to be left far behind. I love shooting weddings in small towns because there are so many great spots to shoot.
When I saw this yellow field I go so excited thinking about the great photos I could get of the two of them. It reminds me of the Sound on Music.
Then we went to the old train station. While we were there a train even went by.
I could not resist this old Chain Saw place that was run down and looked out of business.
Not only did they get married but they also had an instant family. They both already each had a son. Their outfits are great.
The church was perfect for being up in northern Minnesota.
This is such a great family photo! Everyone looks happy and so natural {which is hard to do with boys this age}.The reception was at a fishing lodge and it had all these great boats and docks on the river. They made for some great photos.
You just can't have your wedding at a fishing lodge without a photo holding a fish and check out the ring shot.
Congratulations again Jennalyn and Scott! Thank you so much for having me come all the way up to Baudette; it was well worth the drive.
