Another amazing weekend of shooting! I had one "fearless" bridal session and one engagement session. I feel like I took some chances and got some great shots!

I thought I'd post this one in the spirit of Halloween. This is an image taken at sunset on October 27, 2007 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The temperature outside was a chilling 46 degrees. Once that sun went down it got cold in a hurry.

Happy Halloween!

These shots are so much fun! I was able to photograph the Oberweiser family at Alicia Park in Appleton, Wisconsin. I posted a few of my favs.... I love the expression on the kids' faces. The artistic nature of the pose and the expression made me want to try something a little different in post production. I desaturated it a bit to make it real moody.

Laci is a ham. She needs to be since Autumn is such a princess. This image really shows Laci's personality shine. I am so glad I am able to take photos for them!

Autumn's Joy

Last Sunday the weather was gorgeous and I was able to photograph my other two nieces Autumn and Laci. Photographing a 4 year old and a 2 year old can be quite the challenge. For the shot above I used a little trick-ery. I told her that all I wanted was to take a photo of the beautiful leaf. I think she thought it was pretty too!

This fall I did at least 6 family/kid sessions. I had the pleasure of photographing my nieces, Lauren and Mia and their puppy Banjo. Despite being less than one year old, Banjo can sure take both girls for a spin!

The weather has been more than cooperative this fall. I have never enjoyed the color and season as much as I have this year.

This image is part of the amazing "fearless bride/groom" session I shot on October 7, 2007 at my Aunt's farm in Kaukauna, WI. This shot was so cool because I told them to run towards each other. This is the end product of that direction. I love the embrace, the light, the movement of the hair and gown. Uh, this is why I am a photographer.

Some more reasons why I love what I do!

This amazing photo is from Theresa and Andy's wedding in Menasha, Wisconsin on September 15, 2007. They had an outdoor ceremony at Smith Park, the weather was cool and the sun was shinning!

I've really been getting into macro work. I am so happy to be able to offer this kind of photo for my couples. Every wedding I try something different. This shot was set up on the couple's program.

This shot is the second (only to one lighting test shot I did) of an unbelievable day of shooting. The location was in Kaukauna, Wisconsin at my Aunt Patti's farm. The bride is from July 14, 2007 and this day she was completely fearless!

I had the pleasure of working with Janelle and Eric again - and I invited the Great Scoobs of CS Photography in Milwaukee (aka Craig) to shoot along side me. It was so much fun feeding off of all the energy in the air. I almost couldn't sleep a wink last night because every shot kept popping out again in my mind. This shot was sniped by Craig. I love the way he composed the shot and the colors are amazing! Thanks for taking this!

{one year old Hezekiah}

Hezekiah is the sweetest little boy. He has such a gentle heart. Of course that makes him really easy to photograph. Thanks again Amber and Matt for sharing your story with me and letting me take photos of your family. Happy birthday Hezekiah.

{Erin and Bjorn in Norway}

What an amazing wedding! I had the privilege to go to Norway and photograph Erin and Bjorn's 2nd wedding or a continuation of their Midwest wedding. Not only was I in a really beautiful country but I was also with two spectacular families. Both families welcomed me as a friend, I was very blessed. I came back home to my family as a better person. I think I may have come back as a better photographer also. Erin and Bjorn have the perfect amount of everything when it comes to photos. They were fun, romantic, silly, stunning and witty. I wish I could send this much time with all my couples.

Erin wore her dress twice but Bjorn wore a traditional Norwegian outfit.
We went to Bjorn's grandma's farm to take some photos. His grandma was sick but she watched excitedly from the window. At one point she cracked the door and handed Bjorn this large paper bag. Inside was Norway's flag.

I love the silliness of these two. I was laughing all thought the day.

Bjorn's sister's also wore their Norwegian outfits. I really enjoy seeing different cultures and traditions.

Bjorn's family was so funny. Above is his dad after I asked him to look at me and smile. There is not explanation for the below photo, it is just hilarious.

This is the type of wedding that I have always dreamed of. Thank you Bjorn and Erin for bringing me along. Thank you also to both of your families for welcoming me with open arms. This is one wedding that will always have on my favorite's list.
