Jackie and Jason engagement photos

Texas and then on up to Minnesota

It was time for the photo business to buy a car. We decided to buy one down in Texas so we could all fly down and then drive up and make a fun family trip of it. We had a great time and enjoyed the family bonding. We first stayed in Fort Worth. There was so much to do and discover. That first night we went down to the Stock Yard. It made for some really great photos. We didn't really even go into any shops but instead just walked around taking photos.

Sara and Paul spot this great candy shop. It was loaded with everything. I spotted these candy cigarettes that reminded me of when I was a kid. And of course we bought our fair share of treats.

The next day we went to the Modern Art Museum in Fort Worth. It was absolutely gorgeous. I really enjoyed the architecture and the lay out of the art work. We found a little spot were the light was coming in so beautifully and took some photos . Here is a cute one of little Nora. Below is a photo of a sculpture. If you are ever in Fort Worth you have to check this museum out!

We headed off to Dallas and went to the Aquarium. There were a lot of fascinating creatures. Look at this sea dragon, I think they are just crazy looking.

sweet pea Nora

On our way back to Minnesota we stopped in Oklahoma. This is the memorial sight for the Oklahoma City bombing. It was done so beautifully to honor those who had died. The water represents the street and then where the chairs are is where the building was. Each chair represents each life that was taken. The rows are for what floor that person was on. You can't tell in the photos but there were mini chairs for the children. It was very sad. At sunset the boxes under each chair lite up.

Ashlie and Brandon engagement photos

Ashlie and Brandon are getting married in June. We went to Como Conservatory so we didn't have to bare the cold of winter. This was our second time around doing the engagement photos. With all the time we've spent together I think they will be really conferable with me by the wedding day. That will just make their photos even more lovely.

Colleen and Dan

Colleen and Dan had the perfect balance of sophistication and fun. They were married at St. Pius Catholic Church and their reception was at Christos Union Depot. In between the two we went to Como Conservatory, Rice Park and Mears Park. Each stop we got some amazing photographs. They were so natural in front of the camera. They all had such different light, which made for great variety in the photos. I love the twilight sky we got at Mears Park.

Sara Jo

Here's a fun photo of Sara (my first born) on a beautiful late fall day. We had to get outside while we still can before it gets to cold. If you can't tell I saturated the photo to bring out the colors.

Eli 5 months old

Tina and Aaron have been married for about a year. I shoot their wedding last September. I always love seeing old clients, especially when they've had a baby. Eli is such a cutie. I think he looks a lot like his daddy. I love that one where he is checking out his toe. It's so fun to watch babies discover themselves.

Katie and Jeff

Congratulations Katie and Jeff!! I use to work with Katie at Zaroff's Deli as waitresses. Katie has had many friends get married and I have happily done some of them also. It is always fun to photograph Katie, she just loves being in front of the camera.

Nora and Sara

I just love my girls! A parent just can't have to many photos of thier kids. At least I don't think so. Nora is turing one on December 12. I wish she could stay a baby just for one more year. Or maybe that means I should have just one more??? Of couse Sara always has to get in some photos too. She will be taking a dance class soon so she has to get her practice in.
